Good news from our colleagues in PETA: countless letters of protest by thousands and thousands of animal lovers have meant that the state of Utah has finally changed a cruel hitherto applicable law. Until now, a Utah for sale of three U.S. states where shelters were forced to request dogs and cats in animal testing laboratories. On 27 March, wrote to the Governor of the State of the bill.
The positive news is especially gratifying after PETA recently an undercover investigation at the University of Utah published. It showed that year after year, over 100 homeless dogs and cats from public shelters in Utah alone sold to the university. There, the animals were painful and even deadly experiments to go through. In one case, the university acquired a pregnant cat from a local animal shelter and chemicals injected into the brains their babies. All kittens were killed in this cruel experiment.
Here's to Utah, which has the new law the world once again made a small bit of pet friendly!
