Heiner Müller: Dream Forest

Heiner Müller: Dream Forest (1994-95)

Tonight I walked through a forest in a dream
He was full of dread after the alphabet
With empty eyes that do not understand view
Were the animals between tree and tree
From Frost From the trellis in stone gehaun
The spruce toward me through the snow
Trat clanking dream I do I see what I see
A child in arms and armor visor
in the arm the spear headed In the dark pine flashes
the sun drinking
The last day of a golden line
trace back the dream of the forest to die in the blink And
waves between the shock and random
saw my face at me: I was the child.
