with the Cuban missile crisis and the construction of the Berlin Wall, the Cold War reached its climax at the same time also a turning point. The direct confrontation of the two superpowers in the Cuban missile crisis is on both sides of the growing realization that a nuclear war prevented under all circumstances and disarmament measures should be initiated.
